Microsoft releases three Windows patches

Microsoft Corp. released three critical patches Tuesday for its Windows operating system, including one to fix an Internet Explorer browser flaw that had already been exploited in some Internet attacks.Users can go to http://www.microsoft.com/security to download the Microsoft patches.

As part of Microsoft’s routine, monthly security update cycle we released five new security updates on April 11, 2006:

  • MS06-013 – addresses several vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer, a component of Windows
  • MS06-014 – addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows
  • MS06-015 – addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows
  • MS06-016 – addresses a vulnerability in Outlook Express
  • MS06-017 – addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Front Page Server Extensions
