Meet The World’s Smartest Toolbox – Coolbox

When was the last time you upgraded your toolbox? If you are like me, chances are you haven’t and still have that trusty old toolbox that you got when you were a teenager and just starting to work on things. There is an Indiegogo campaign taking place for a new toolbox called the Coolbox that promises to bring that boring toolbox into the 21st century. The designers added all the latest technology to the Coolbox, so you’ll find this like pass-through power, a 12-foot extension cord, a rechargeable 5000mAh battery that powers the USB ports and LED lights on the box, a pair of 40W 3×5-inch marine grade Bluetooth speakers, a tablet stand, a whiteboard, a pair of roller wheels to easily move it around, a beer bottle opener and more. You might be wondering if there is still room to store your tools, but you can rest easy as there is nearly 1,800 cubic inches of storage space and the box is sturdy enough to haul around 65 pounds of stuff. The box itself weighs 14.4 pounds, so the beefy handles on the side and roller wheels will certainly come in handy when the Coolbox is fully loaded.

The campaign started on January 26th and hoped to raise $50,000 by March 12, 2015. The campaign still has 29 days left and has already received $163,289 from hundreds of backers. With features like the ones below it doesn’t that amount of funding doesn’t come as a surprise. We wonder why the big major brands didn’t come up with something like this! The Coolbox is certainly cool and we can’t wait to upgrade our toolbox with a ‘smart’ toolbox in the years ahead!
