NVIDIA has announced a new Ansel artists contest that will see the person who makes the best photos using the NVIDIA Ansel tech win some very cool prizes. NVIDIA Ansel is the tech used to capture in-game images. The official name for the contest is “The Shot with GeForce GTX Mass Effect: Andromeda Ansel” contest and it starts today and runs through May 14.

To enter the contest the photographers need to capture an in-game image using Ansel and share it via Facebook or Twitter by tagging @NVIDIAGeForce and using the #SHOTWITHGEFORCEGTX and #MASSEFFECT hashtags. Among the cool prizes that can be won during the contest is the grand prize pictured in the image here, The Andromeda Initiative Custom PC.

This custom gaming PC has a Corsair Carbide Air 240 chassis, GTX 1080 video card, Intel Core i7-7700 CPU, Asus Strix Z270G mainboard, 16GB of G.Skill TridentZ RGB RAM, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB storage, and a Corsair RM850X PSU. Check out the video at the end of the story for more details on the PC you could win.

There are two runner up prizes that consist of GeForce GTX 1080 Ti video cards. The winning photos will also be posted on GeForce.com as free wallpapers. NVIDIA says that the Ansel tech is a revolutionary way to capture photos and that gamers can think of it as a camera integrated into the gaming experience. Ansel does have to be supported in the game and when it is the camera can be moved to any angle they desire and filters applied to the image. Images can also be captured in 360 for VR viewing.
