“Trends like the increase in connected devices in the home and the rise of on demand video services, enabling consumers to consume video on virtually any screen, puts a more critical demand on the home network,“ said Mike Chen, Senior Director Home Networking at Belkin. “Our products are not only extremely fast, they are also easy to install and control through the innovative Linksys Smart Wi-Fi platform. With your Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Account and App you can get access anywhere and anytime to media stored on a connected USB storage device or change settings of the router – all from the palm of your hand.”

I’m hoping that the “AC1900″ isn’t just a marketing trick. By increasing the 2.4GHz channel speeds to N600 (versus N450) the faster 5GHz channel stays at N1300…Not sure if this is really going to help many users: The ones that have AC are using the 5GHz channel already, and the ones who aren’t usually do not have a 3-4 antenna receiver in their laptop.
