Kensington Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball

While most users are more comfortable with using a mouse, there is still a dedicated group of users that prefer Trackballs. Sadly, there hasn’t been many updates to the Trackball over time, however Kensington has launched an updated version that now includes dual wireless technology, allowing the user to choose either Bluetooth 4.0LE or using a 2.4GHz USB nano receiver. The new trackball includes advanced features such as customizable buttons, optical tracking, a scroll ring, and an oversize 55mm trackball.

The Kensington Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball is currently available for purchase and has a retail price of $99.99.

Ventev Mobile Accessories

Ventev was once again presenting several new mobile accessories at CES Unveiled 2016. Watch for new braided cables for Lightning, Micro-USB and Type-C connections, and many new devices with Quick Charge capabilities including car chargers.

With multiple devices needing to be charged, Ventev has a new docking solution designed to charge multiple devices and hold two devices while they are charging. The s500 Desktop Charging Hub has just become available, with a suggested retail price of $59.99. It includes two AC ports for those unsightly bricks, in addition to three USB ports, one of which is a dedicated 2.4A port.

Expanding their line of USB device charging, a new charger with one dedicated quick charge port, and five shared charging ports will become available at the end of first quarter 2016. While this is nothing technically new, the five shared ports should provide a full power charge depending on your device up to 2.4A; so the Ventev rep tells me.

CES Unveiled is typically the first product showcase of CES, this year there was little presented for the computer enthusiast. Many of the vendors were focused on wearables and connected devices. We’ll be keeping a look out for new computer hardware as the week progresses.
