iRiver’s AK100 now supports Apple-based audio codecs

Yesterday, iRiver released firmware update version 1.30 for the AK100, which adds support for AAC, ALAC and AIFF files, which is great news for Apple iTunes fans!The AK100 alreay supports Mastering Quality Sound (MQS) lossless audio playback — along with support for MP3, Ogg, FLAC, WAV, WMA and APE codecs, among others. If you’re willing to spend $700 – you can hear your iTunes library in a whole new way thanks to the Wolfson WM8740 Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) which iRiver claims will deliver digital tunes the way they’re meant to be heard!
