The GeekBench results show a single-core score of 5,137 and a multi-core score of 10,048 on a system that appears to be running a stock Intel Core i5-7350K processor on an ASUS STRIX Z270H Gaming motherboard along with 16GB of DDR4 memory. An Intel Core i3-6100 Skylake processor is capable of around 4,000 points on the single-core test and 7,600 points on the multi-core test, so this is a nice little performance boost. The Intel Core i3-6100 Skylake processor is priced at $104.99 shipped and has a base clock of 3.7 GHz and does not have a Turbo Boost clock. According to an image released by WCCFTech, the starting price on the Intel Core i3-7350K will be just below $180.

The leaked benchmark results don’t show any overclocking results and that is what we are most interested in since this is an unlocked processor that is aimed at budget overclockers. We can’t wait to see how this new unlocked Core i3 processor performs as if it is a capable overclocker, Intel might have a winner with the budget crowd that has traditionally gone with AMD. Could this be a sign that Intel is worried a little bit about AMD’s upcoming ZEN based processors?
