Intel Announces Two New Desktop Skylake Processors Without Integrated GPUs

CPU World is reporting that Intel has released an eight additional Broadwell- and Skylake-based processors to their processor pricing sheet that came out on December 27th, 2015. Two of the eight are new desktop processors: the Intel Core i3-6098P and Intel Core i5-6402P. Both model numbers are 14nm Skylake parts that have a ‘P’ suffix, which means that they integrated graphics processor. Intel went with the entry level Intel HD Graphics 510 (GT1) with 12 Shader Processing Units, 8 TMUs and 4 ROPs. The iGPU runs at 350MHz and goes up to 1050MHz in Turbo Mode. The Intel Core i3-6098P is a dual-core processor with HyperThreading that runs up to 3.6GHz with 3MB of cache for $117. The Intel Core i5-6402P is a quad-core processor that runs up to 2.8GHz with 6MB of cache for $182. We aren’t sure when these processors will make it to the retail channel, but they are announced and listed on the price sheet!

The other processors releases would be the Intel Celeron 3855U and 3955U ultra-low voltage models along with the Intel Core i5-5200DU, i5-6198DU, Core i7-5500DU and i7-6498DU for mobile platforms.
