It looks like .MOBI web site will soon become a reality. The move is expected to pave the way for widespread use of the Web by cell-phone users, although ICANN representatives have said they doubt .mobi Web sites will be available before 2006.

Monday’s action, the seventeenth top level domain approved by ICANN, is expected to pave the way for widespread use of the Web by cell phone users, although ICANN representatives have said they doubt .mobi websites will be available before 2006.
