Gigabyte is the official motherboard sponsor of Blizzcon 2014 and they had a number of systems on display that were showing off their hardware. One of the cleanest looking systems in their booth was the X99 Gaming desktop that is powered by the GA-X99 Gaming G1 WIFI motherboard. This system was loaded up with the latest DDR4 memory and an NVIDIA Maxwell GPU powered video card. Legit Reviews took at this board last month and found it to be a very solid Intel LGA 2011v3 platform for those looking to build a Haswell-E system. This particular system was built by XoticPC . We aren’t sure what the exact price of this system was, but this particular X99 board runs around $345 online.

Gigabyte was also showing off some Brix Gaming systems at the show, but unfortunately the system was not running while we were visiting the Gigabyte booth. One of the Brix units on the wall was using an Intel Core i7 processor with a desktop NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 graphics card. This system is said to be coming out this year under model number GB-BXi7G3-760 and should be a very powerful small form factor gaming PC as it uses all desktop parts in a tiny system that will fit in the palm of your hand. This will be the flagship Brix model as it will offer more gaming power than the Gigabyte BXi5G-760. The Brix gaming systems are barebone units and DIY gamers will need to install their own DDR3L SODIMM memory, mSATA or 2.5-inch storage drive and the operating system.

Update 11/11/14 – 6pm CT: Gigabyte has provided a picture of the Gigabyte Brix GB-BXi7G3-760 powering the display below in their Blizzcon 2014 booth.

Gigabyte also handed out t-shirts for the raffle they were holding and you had to be wearing the shirt in order to win a raffle price. There was a guy that had the raffle ticket for a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 WindForce video card, but was deemed ineligible since he wasn’t wearing the shirt. Ouch!

It also appears that the Gigabyte Blizzcon 2014 booth was the place to take selfies!
