NVIDIA GeForce Experience Share is one of the coolest gaming features that we’ve seen in years and we just learned that NVIDIA has openeed up the GeForce Experience Early Access Beta program to gamers that want to try it out. You just need to download Share and install it to be able to try out all the latest features that NVIDIA has been working on in recent months. Those new features include on-screen controls, clip editing, numerous tweaks and changes, and best of all,GameStream Co-Op. GameStream Co-Op will let you invite friends into your game over the internet as long as you have a GeForce Kepler or Maxwell powered video card in your system. Once your friends are connected with GameStream Co-Op, your friends can watch you play, take control of your game with mirrored controls or play along with you in game titles like Trine 3, Gauntlet, FIFA 15, NBA 2K15, and Mortal Kombat Komplete that have multi-controller support. GameStream Co-Op even supports voice-chat with a built-in client, so Share really does look great! The next time you get stuck in a game you can have a friend help you get past that point or maybe even pay someone to do it for you. There might be some business opportunities here for some gamers that are looking to make some extra cash!

You can watch the video below to see the new features in action!

GameStream Co-op System Requirements

Host PC:

  • Processor: Intel Core i3-2100 ‘Sandy Bridge’ dual-core 3.1GHz CPU or higher
  • Desktop GPU: GeForce GTX 650 or higher graphics card
  • Notebook GPU: Non-Optimus Notebook with GeForce GTX 660M or higher graphics (Optimus support coming later)
  • GeForce Driver: 355.60 or higher
  • Recommended Network Bandwidth: 7 Mbps upstream
  • Games: DirectX 9 or higher games running in firescreen exclusive mode.

Guest PC:

  • Processor: Intel Core i3-2100 ‘Sandy Bridge’ dual-core 3.1GHz CPU or higher
  • GPU: No requirement
  • Recommended Network Bandwidth: 7 Mbps downstream

The host PC system requirements really aren’t that bad, but NVIDIA recommends 7 Mbps of upstream bandwidth for GameStream Co-Op to work smoothly and that might be an issue for most of the country. For example Charter Spectrum internet is 100 Mbps down and 4 Mbps up. This is the internet service that we have and we usually average around 130 Mbps down and 4 Mbps up, so our connection does not meet the NVIDIA recommended network bandwidth! Charter Communications and other big internet providers really need to increase the upload caps on their networks as they’ve been increasing the download speeds for years without once increasing the upload speed and it’s getting rather pathetic now.
