Fortnite Comet Spied Over Tilted Towers

Something odd is afoot in Fortnite Battle Royale. Gamers are seeing a comet in the sky above Tilted Towers and speculation over what exactly it means is running rampant. Multiple players claim to have seen the comet, it’s unclear if the comet is always visible to everyone. The most widely held theory is that the comet is going to destroy Tilted Towers.

The thought is that Epic Games thinks that Tilted Towers, which is rife with weapons and gear, unbalances the game. A comet seems a bit extreme, Epic could just remove some of the weapons in an update. Folks who don’t think its an elaborate end for Tilted Towers have other notions of what it could mean.

The other running theory is that maybe the comet will mark the end of season 3. Perhaps the comet heralds some space-themed content. Epic has offered no official word on the comet. There are unlockable cosmetics in the game and some have images of dinosaur skills and mushroom clouds hinting at impact.

As for the comet itself, code in the game for it has been discovered, so it’s real. Players who have seen it say that the controller rumbles when it is present. Some claim that the rumblings are Morse code and claim the message reads SOS D5 418 meaning April 2018 and D5 is the portion of the map where Tilted Towers is located reports Polygon. Mystery is afoot.
