Final Fantasy XV Update Adds Off-Road Driving

By

Fans of Final Fantasy XV received an update recently that brought the game to version 1.12. The update has the bug fixes for the game that you expect to see in every update that lands, but it also had something cool in it as well. The update brings with it the ability to go off-road driving with a new customization option for the Regalia.

The Type-D customization converts the car driven in that segment of Final Fantasy XV to a monster truck. Before the update when in the Regalia, players were limited to driving on designated roads. The new update lets you venture off the beaten path and drive anywhere.

If you haven’t experienced the Regalia Type-D, you can do so in the game by speaking to Cindy at the Hammerhead Service Station. Players can also now listen to the music from the upcoming Episode Prompto DLC on the car radio. The update is large so it will take a while for those on slower internet connections with 8.65 GB of data to download.

The update also has a conclusion of a survey or future updates, the addition of Episode Prompto compatibility, the music from Episode Promoto in player tracklist, and various bug fixes. Episode Prompto pulls Promoto away from the crew and has him separate and alone in an arctic environment. The video trailer shows third person shooting gameplay and snowmobile riding segments. The DLC launches today reports GameSpot.
