Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion Launches on Halloween

Fans of the game Final Fantasy XV looking to play with other people will be glad to hear that the multiplayer expansion has a launch date. That expansion will launch on October 31 for PS4 and Xbox One gamers. The update will be free for folks with a Season Pass.

If you don’t have a Season Pass, the expansion will also be available as a separate purchase. You can see a trailer for the multiplayer expansion below. If you like the idea of multiplayer action, but also like the single player aspect of the game, there will be new single-player quests.

Playstationlifestyle reports that players don’t get to control Noctis and friends in the multiplayer aspect of the game. The new expansion reportedly explains what happened after chapter 13 in the main story. The expansion is said to be fully featured and should be fun.

Game director Hajime Tabata says that he and his team focused on expansion rather than a sequel because they wanted to show what happened in that missing 10 years right at the end of the story. He says that would have been hard to do in a traditional sequel, but works well as an expansion to keep the relationship with fans going.
