Father of iPod and iPhone Leaves Apple

The technical mastermind who helped deliver some of Apple’s biggest technological breakthroughs including the iPod and the iPhone has departed Apple Computers. According to reports, Tony Fadell has ended his role as “Special Adviser” to Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Fadell stepped down as Senior Vice President of Aple’s iPod division in 2008 said his primary focus now will be on helping the environement.

After nine years with Apple, Tony Fadell, who helped envision and create the iPod and iPhone, has formally left the company. He will now be an all-around adviser to tech companies around the world. “My primary focus will be helping the environment by working with consumer green-tech companies,” he said to the New York Times. “I’m determined to tell my kids and grandkids amazing stories beyond my iPod and iPhone ones.”
