Most of us are looking down the gullet of a long weekend thanks to the holiday on Monday. That might mean you are in the market for a new game to check out if you don’t have big plans outdoors. Bethesda has announced that this will be a free to play weekend for one of the coolest games it has ever put out- Fallout 4.

Sure you’ll have to put up with Preston Garvey and his constant list of needs, but it’s worth it. The free period starts today at 1 PM ET and runs through May 28 at 4PM ET on Steam. Xbox Live Gold gamers can start their free trial at 3 AM ET today and it runs until 3AM ET on May 29.

During the free event the base game content will be free to play an you can try out mods for the game if you like. If you like the game so much you want to buy it, the game is on sale on Steam, Xbox, and PS4 this weekend for $19.79 for the base game and $30 for the DLC season pass reports GameSpot. There is no mention of a free to play period on PS4.

If you wondering if a game that launched in 2015 is worth the time and drive space to download, Fallout 4 most definitely is. This game will suck up your entire weekend like you just sat down to play. Just be prepared for the never ending stream of settlements that need saved.
