EVGA Z170 Classified, FTW and Stinger Motherboards at Computex

By

EVGA is ready for Intel Skylake processors and is showing off several Intel Z170 powered boards as proof. We were told that the boards are still pre-production, but they are mostly done. The three boards that were on display at Computex 2015 were the EVGA Z170 Stinger, FTW, and Classified. The EVGA Z170 Classified and Z170 FTW are standard ATX boards, but the Z170 Stinger is a tiny mini-ITX board. All three boards have a silver and black color scheme that looks pretty stealthy.

EVGA Z170 Classified

The EVGA Z170 Classified will be the flagship Z170 board at the time of launch and is aimed at overclockers and power users that want a capable board. EVGA went with a 10-phase CPU power design, two 8-pin ATX power connectors and five PCIe 3.0 x 16 slots. The Broadwell board also has eight SATA III 6Gbps ports an M.2 slot, SATA Express, dual Gigabit wired LAN ports and six USB 3.0 ports. The only key feature we see missing from these three boards is SuperSpeed+ USB 3.1 support, but we might just not be seeing it.
