EA SPORTS Embraces Frostbite Engine for FIFA 17

By

FIFA17goldlogoHORIZONTALrgbElectronics Art previously announced FIFA 17 running on the Frostbite engine last week, yet had not given us a better look at the gameplay until EA PLAY, the first livestreamed press conference at E3 2016. The new FIFA 17 trailer introduces an all-new story mode called “The Journey” which follows the rise of the fictional player character, Alex Hunter, into the professional league. FIFA 17 builds on the motion capture of its predecessor with the scalable Frostbite engine to deliver a more authentic sports video game, the same engine used in several other AAA EA titles including Star Wars: Battlefront, the Battlefield games, and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
