Duck Season Lands on Steam and Oculus Store September 14

If you had a Nintendo back in the ’80s I know you played the game Duck Hunt. It seems like everyone I knew back in the day had that game. It’s the title that you played with the light gun and shot ducks as your trusty, yet annoying dog rustled the leaves and scared the ducks out of hiding.

The most annoying thing about that trusty dog was that he would pop up and laugh at you every now and again for missing the ducks. This led to some friendly fire with most of us shooting him accidentally or on purpose several times per game. Stress Level Zero has developed a new game that channels some of that nostalgia for Duck Hunt in a very new way for gamers with and penchant for Duck Hunt with some horror elements.

Duck Season is a first person adventure game and ses the players playing as a kid back in 1988 on summer break reports Road to VR. After a day spent with Duck Hunt that dog comes back to your house to get some revenge for being shot during the game. The game sounds like the Choose Your own Adventure books that I read during the ’80s.

It has seven unique endings, seven mini games to play, lots of easter eggs and hidden secrets and realistic virtual environment. There are multiple short films in the game found on VHS tapes around the home and lots of mysterious subplots to discover. The game does require a VR headset to play.
