Details of New Samsung Galaxy S5 Confirmed

The new Samsung Galaxy S5 is loaded with new features and some ridiculous product specifications. Before we get inside the phone, the first thing that Samsung is offering is two different models. One comes in metal and the other in plastic, however the hardware in both will be identical. The metal version of the phone will be attached with a more expensive price tag as well.

Now lets take a look deeper inside the phone – the screen is a Super AMOLED display running at a whopping 2560×1440 resolution. The phone is powered by a Exynos 6 or Snapdragon 805 processor. The Galaxy S5 will also sport a 16 megapixel camera and run on Android 4.4 KitKat.

So far there’s nothing explaining what will determine weather the phone has the Exynos 6 or Snapdragon 805 processor but that information will likely come soon. For those of you in the market for a new Galaxy phone, it will be released at an event in London in March with a subsequent larger release in April.

In addition to the Galaxy S5 Samsung also announced the release of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini and the Galaxy S5 Zoom smartphones as well. Both of those phones will also be sporting the Super AMOLED display as well. Personally, I can’t wait to take a look at that display on the phone, should be beautiful.
