Dell Says PCs Aren’t Dying And Reveals Five Quarter Growth

At Dell’s yearly analyst conference, Vice Chairman Jeffrey Clarke announced growth over the past five quarters and the highest market share the company has held in the past five years. Dell’s reports come as somewhat of a surprise in the era of flourishing mobile computing, particularly since Dell took the company private last year and no longer has to publicly report profits.

With tablet growth leveling off, Dell plans to increase it’s efforts in the desktop, laptop, and thin client space. The manufacturing giant has teased a few new devices for the upcoming months, including a new Chromebook, a new 13″ 2-in-1 laptop/tablet, and a small footprint desktop likely resembling an NUC or Chromebox.

Despite Dell having left the stock market with a ticker price bouncing around a 15-year low, they certainly sound confident about their future in the PC space. With the company’s feet planted firmly in consumer and enterprise fields, Michael Dell said We aren’t opening a can of whoop ass, we are opening a whoop ass factory.
