D-Link Launches New Router Line and Unified Home Wi-Fi Network Kit

D-Link made several announcements today during CES in Las Vegas including a new high-performance line of Wi-Fi routers as well as a Unified Home Wi-Fi Network Kit with Adaptive Roaming Technology for enthusiasts, gamers, and DIY users. One of the most exciting things coming from the D-Link camp is the new line of EXO Routers with an all new look and designed to perform. D-Link showed off two routers, the AC1900 Wi-Fi Router (DIR-879) and the AC1750 Wi-Fi Router (DIR-869). D-Link Ultra Wi-Fi Router

The D-Link EXO Router series is designed to blend great design with powerful 802.11ac home networking performance providing speed and coverage at an affordable price. Both routers come with high-power amplifiers designed to maximize range, and gigabit ports for wired connectivity, the EXO Routers provide whole-home coverage for your Smart Homes many connected devices. The AC1900 router also includes SmartConnect technology to automatically assign clients to the wireless band providing the best bandwidth.

The EXO Series Wi-Fi routers will be available throughout D-Link’s vast network of retail and e-tail partners in the United States as follows:

  • AC1750 EXO Wi-Fi Router (DIR-869) Available Q2 2016 for $129.99

D-Link Home Wi-Fi Network Kit CES 2016D-Link also launched their Unified Home Wi-Fi Networking Kit with Adaptive Roaming Technology (DKT-891). This kit is in essence a router-extender designed to address the need for full home wireless coverage. The D-Link engineers are using adaptive roaming technology that allows connected devices to automatically hop between the router and extender based on which connection will provide the best performance. This allows users to move throughout their home or office network without having to configure or worry whether theyre getting the best connection and performance from their network. We know as more and more wireless devices are being used in our networks and saturating the bandwidth that we have, high-bandwidth applications such as online gaming and streaming HD multimedia will need networks and infrastructure to keep up with their demands.
