Custom AMD Radeon R9 Fury X Front Plates Being Created By End Users

By

It’s been less than a month since AMD released the 3D files for the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X front plate and we are finding some really cool custom front plate designs that are being 3D Printed and CNC machined by AMD Radeon R9 Fury X owners. We ran across a wicked looking front plate that was designed by JohanKJIP and machined by Bgndrsn and just had to show it off to our readers. You can find more images of the design here, here and here.

He machined it from a block of 6061 aluminum and it took five hours of machine time to be completed. Bgndrsn is located in Wisconsin and might be open to helping others create their custom designs as he “could always use the extra bit of work to help my new PC fund.” It was only a matter of time until someone in the community with a shop would step up and begin offering machining services!

The plate design reminds us a bit of the NVIDIA SHIELD PRO!

Not to be outdone PC Master Race member rah1236 showed off his front plate concept that he came up with using solid works. This was his first time rendering anything, which just goes to show how far enthusiasts will go to customize their cards when given the opportunity.
