Corsair Enters Gaming Chair Market With Corsair T1 Race Gaming Chair

By

Corsair is entering the gaming chair market! The number of companies that are producing gaming chairs feels like it is doubling overnight and it very well could be. One company we were talking to at CES 2017 explained to Legit Reviews that the demand for them is huge. The example they gave is that there are likely 300,000 internet cafes and gaming centers in China with each having around 200 chairs. That means there are 60,000,000 gaming chairs that could possibly be sold in that country alone and that they are selling gaming chairs by the container load. No wonder well-known brand lines like Corsair are jumping headfirst into the gaming chair market as they want a piece of the pie.

Corsair T1 Race Gaming Chair

Corsairs chair is called the T1 Race gaming chair and it was designed by the ODM, but Corsair enhanced that design by customizing a few things to ensure that no one else has a chair exactly like theirs. The custom tooling costs add a substantial amount of money to the cost to bring these to market and that is a cost they thought was well worth it and already paid off as no other chair is identical. The 4D side arms are plastic, but have a carbon fiber look to them.

The chair is made from the same pleather that looks and feels like all the other brands, but Corsair did some diamond pillow stitching on the lumbar support, head rest, seat base and even the lower back section of the seat back that looks great.

The Corsair T1 Race Gaming Chair should be coming soon with an expected MSRP of $349. The T1 Race gaming chair felt comfortable, but we only sat in it for a few seconds at CES 2017! Corsair is still sorting out what caster wheels will be used on the final production models, so we can’t wait to see what the final retail model looks like and how it performs. It will also be interesting to see if Corsair launches more models in different sizes as one size does not fit all for gaming chairs!
