CoD: Black Ops 4 Blackout Patch Lands

By

Treyarch released a patch yesterday for Black Ops 4 that brought changes for Blackout mode and a bunch of changes to other aspects of the game. The updates for Blackout weren’t massive but will make game quality improve for players. The big change was to the armor used in Blackout.

More damage will now pass through the armor to the player in the mode. Armor that is too powerful has been a complaint that comes up frequently among the Blackout community reports Polygon. Audio in the mode has changed with a reworked system to improve the ability to tell where footsteps are coming from.

The ability to hear which direction an enemy is coming from is critical in the battle royale game mode. Other changes include the addition of a Gun Game mode that changes your weapon every time you earn a kill. The spawn system was improved to keep players from spawning in front of an enemy.

Numerous changes have been made to the guns in the game. Assault Rifles are less powerful and sniper rifle damage buffs were added. Tactical rifles were buffed up while LMGs were nerfed a bit as were shotguns.
