Looking Closer at the CM Storm Ceres-400

CM Storm Ceres-400 RH Earmuff

The right-hand earmuff on the CM Storm Ceres-400 is round overall with the CM Storm logo in the center thats surrounded by a bright red trim ring for aesthetics.

The left-hand earmuff is adorned with the same logo and red trim ring but with the addition of the microphone boom. The boom is shown in the up position here.

CM Storm Ceres-400 Mic Boom Down

The microphone boom simply swivels down from its storage position to its in-use position. The action is smooth and tight enough to keep the boom in place without being difficult to move and adjust.

The earmuffs each move in and out through a stepped slider system that allows each to have 11 different resting points. The total travel measures just over 1 on each muff giving it a wide range of adjustability to perfectly fit your head.

CM Storm Ceres-400 Connectors

The two connectors on the CM Storm Ceres-400 are standard 3.5mm audio jacks for both headphone and microphone. The only labeling are the color bands on the jacks green for headphone and red for microphone. The connectors have square molded ends with the CM Storm logo in them which make inserting and removing the jacks easy.

CM Storm Ceres-400 Control Module

The in-line control module on the CM Storm Ceres-400 is easy to use and looks pretty good as well. The volume knob is on the topside while the on/off switch for the microphone is on the bottom side. The volume knob works well with no static or interference when the knob is moved like some lower-end headsets have. The knobs action is smooth and easy.
