BIOSTAR Launches ethOS Mining OS Supported Boards For Ethereum

By

BIOSTAR and ethOS have worked out an exclusive partnership to come out with a line of crypto mining motherboards that fully support the 64-bit Linux OS without the need of any additional drivers. BIOSTAR has tried and tested a number of their Intel based crypto mining motherboards with the ethOS mining OS to ensure you can get booted and mining without issue. BIOSTAR mining boards with Intel chipsets supports 6 to 12 graphics cards depending on the model and the models currently available are:

Keep in mind that you can only run up to 8 graphics cards on Windows 10, so to get over 8 cards running on one of these boards you will have to run a Linux OS like ethOS. BIOSTAR is trying to make it easy for folks to mine Ethereum, Zcash, Monero or any other gpu-minable alt coins.

The screenshot above shows twelve graphics cards running on the BIOSTAR TB250-BTC PRO with ethOS 1.2.3 as an example. In the screenshots they show an AMD Radeon RX 480/570/580 Polaris GPU based setup getting 328 MH/s and on the other one they show NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070/1060/1050 Ti Pascal based cards getting 228.5 MH/s.

It would be neat BIOSTAR bundled ethOS with some of these boards, but they do not. Each mining rig requires one license of the the ethOS mining OS. The digital download takes up 16GB of space and is available for purchase from gpuShack at for $39.
