The Aerocool AeroEngine Plus – 440MM of Fan Power

AeroEngine-Plus

The AeroCool AeroEngine Plus is an attractive mid-tower case with a massive 140mm blue LED front intake fan and an even larger 180mm side fan; and lets not forget the 120mm rear exhaust fan. If you add this all up, it means this case has a grand total of 440mm worth of fans! There are not too many cases out there that can boast this kind of air flow right out of the box, not to mention looking this streamlined. Taking note of recent trends the AeroEngine Plus also has easy access top mounted power/reset buttons along with the audio ports and USB connectors. They kept the front door that helps hide the four 5.25″ drive bays and one 3.5″ drive bay for those of you who don’t have the right color front bezel on your drives. With enough room to mount five hard disk drives directly in front of the 140mm LED fan it means proper cooling for todays 10,000RPM Raptor hard drives by Western Digital that are popular among enthusiasts. We all know talk is cheap and great features don’t mean a solid product, so lets see if the AeroEngine Plus delivers!

AeroEngine Box
The AeroCool AeroEngine-Plus arrived well packaged in a nice looking retail box that has a handle on the top to help move it around. The box and case weigh in at 26 pounds, so it’s not a cheap lightweight case. Inside the box one will find the case packed in Styrofoam and covered with clear plastic wrap, which did its job as the case arrived undamaged. Some of you might have noticed our box says silver; this is because the AeroCool AeroEngine-Plus is available in both silver and black finishes.
