2GB of Google Drive Storage Free w/ Security Checkup

Today is Safer Internet Day! Safer Internet Day (SID) is organised by Insafe in February of each year to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and the devices you use to get on the internet. You might not be excited about the day, but did you know that you can get 2GB of free Google Drive storage due to it? Thats right, Google is offering everyone 2GB of free storage, as long as you complete their security checkup to ensure youre protected by Googles security features.

The Google security check takes just a couple of minutes and it’s a simple 3-step process that asks you to verify your password recovery information, as well as review your recent login activity and app permissions. Once you confirm that everything is correct youll be taken to a screen with three green check boxes, which means youre eligible for the 2GB upgrade. The check most be completed by February 17th, 2015 and the 2GB increase in your Google Drive storage plan is permanent. The extra storage will show up around February 28th, 2015.

Please note that Google Apps for Work and Google Apps for Education uses are not eligible.
