Today we have another one of XFX’s Radeon HD 5xxx cards, the HD 5830 1GB. This card fills the $130 pricing gap between the budget HD 5770 and higher end HD 5850. Read on to see how this HD 5830 handles itself against a pair of GeForce GTX 465’s!
The XFX Radeon HD 5830 has an overall length of 10.25 inches, so this isn’t a little card by any means. In order to keep the XFX Radeon HD 5830’s temperatures in check, XFX uses a custom cooling solution that features a 70mm fan. We will look at the heatsink assembly in greater detail shortly. On the top left of the XFX Radeon HD 5830 is the pair of interconnects that is required for running in CrossfireX.
