In Win Shows Off Tempered Glass and Wood PC Cases at Computex

By

The last time I really paid attention to computer cases they were made out of plastic or metal of some sort and were festooned with LEDs and clear acrylic side windows. Things are getting fancier in the PC chassis department at Computex 2017 thanks to In Win rolling out a new line of computer cases made with wood and tempered glass.

As rough as my delivery guys are with packages, I have to wonder just how well that tempered glass will hold up during shipment. The good looking case in image one is the in Win 806 ATX mid-tower and it has curved light wood paired with smoked tempered glass side panel reports

PC Gamer. It looks fantastic.

The second image is the In Win mini-ITX Gaming Cube A1 with the same light wood on top and tempered glass sides with beige paint over the glass and other parts of the chassis. The hexagonal shapes on the glass give you enough of a glimpse inside that you will need to be neat with your wires.

The In Win 101 ATX mid-tower case isn’t nearly as nice looking as the other two, it appears to have standard metal or plastic material rather than wood, but it’s probably cheaper. I don’t see any pricing details on the tempered glass cases nor details on when they might be available to purchase.
