Watch NVIDIA’s CES 2015 Press Conference Live at 8pm PT

NVIDIA loves to make big announcements before the Consumer Electronics Show and this year is no different. CEO Jen-Hsun Huang will kick off NVIDIA’s presence at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas, tonight at 8 pm Pacific. Last year, NVIDIA announced the Tegra K1 – a 192-Core Super Chip that brought the company’s powerful Kepler GPU areicture used on desktop GPUs to a form factor for the movile market.

Over the past two decades, NVIDIA invented the GPU and has developed more graphics technologies than any other company, said Jen-Hsun Huang, co-founder and CEO, NVIDIA. With Tegra K1, were bringing that heritage to mobile. It bridges the gap for developers, who can now build next-gen games and apps that will run on any device.

We aren’t sure what NVIDIA will be announcing this year at CES, but NVIDIA did let us know that Jen-Hsun Huang will be unveiling new mobile and automotive technologies. NVIDIA has been one of the major technology companies being the drive for automotive innovation, from next-generation digital cockpits to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). We are hopeful that NVIDIA will give a peak at their technology that will help pave the way for the self-driving cars or more. It would be nice to see an update for the NVIDIA SHIELD Portable, but will will have to see. There could also be some GM200 news announced! We don’t want to spoil any of the surprises and will be at the event to see what NVIDIA will be announcing!
