Valve to Offer Refunds for All Steam Games

Valve has announced that it will now offer refunds for any Steam purchase for nearly all every purchase for any reason. First leaked on the internet and then officially announced in a Steam announcement, officials have detailed the new Refund policy that is essentially a Limited money-back guarantee. Previously, Steam purchases could not be returned for a full refund except for exceptionally rare cases. If for any reason you do not want the Steam purchase, you have 14 days to request an refund. This offer is limited to games that have been played for less than 2 hours, however. Still, for most people who have hit the Purchase Now button by mistake, or purchased something that just wouldnt run with the hardware that you had, this is a great offer and is likely to set an example for other cloud-based gaming services.

Valve promises that users will receive their full refund within a week of the request and approval. The funds will be issued in Steam Wallet funds or via the same method of payment that the original purchase was made.
