Ubisoft Outs Release Date for Ghost Recon Wildlands and For Honor

By

Ubisoft_logoUbisoft gave us our first look at Ghost Recon Wildlands and For Honor last year at E3 2015, but gave virtually no release information. We now have a definitive release date courtesy of Ubisoft during their livestreamed keynote at E3 2016. The dates will be February 14, 2017 for For Honor and March 7, 2017 for Ghost Recon Wildlands. Both games will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Along with release information, Ubisoft shared new trailers and gameplay for these upcoming games. Ghost Recon Wildlands is a co-op open-world military shooter with multiplayer and solo (with AI squadmates) options. Players can execute missions how they choose whether it be stealthy or guns blazing as they take on a fictionalized version of Bolivia headed by a corrupt government with ties to the Santa Blanca cocaine cartel.

For Honor is a hack-and-slash game that pits Vikings, samurai, and medieval knights together in melee warfare. Last year, the game’s competitive multiplayer was shown. During their E3 2016 presentation, Ubisoft presented a new cinematic trailer and demonstrated For Honor’s single player campaign for the first time showing the Vikings assaulting a samurai controlled fortress.
