Microsofts E3 press conference was jam packed with lots of news and announcements this year. The biggest was the announcement of two new consoles the Xbox One S and Project Scorpio. Microsoft also announced the ability to design your own controller. Now we thought Microsoft would talk about the HoloLens but nothing was brought up wonder why. But they did talk about the future of games. Microsoft announced a number of titles that we all cant wait to play such as ReCore, Gears of Wars 4, Forza Horizon 3, Halo Wars 2, and State of Decay 2 amongst others.

First off lets talk about hardware, Microsoft will relaunch the Xbox One but a slimmer version which will be available in August for $300 dollars. The Xbox One Slim also known as Xbox One S will be 40% smaller and come bundled as a 1TB or 2TB hard drive console with a new paint job. Microsoft also announced a new console coming out in the fall of 2017 called Project Scorpio a beefed up version of the Xbox One that will deliver true 4K gaming with six teraflops of performance. Both Xbox One S and Project Scorpio will be able to play old Xbox One games so dont throw your games away just yet. Project Scorpio is Microsofts way to countering PlayStations new console Neo.

ReCore trailer was shown and a release date of September 13 2016 was confirmed for the Xbox One and Windows 10 adventure game.

State of Decay 2– Microsoft had decided to make a sequel to State of Decay a third person zombie survival horror game which will include a decent amount of combat, exploration and survival elements but the biggest feature this time is the multiplayer, who doesnt want to kick zombie ass with your friends.

State of Decay 2 wasnt the only Zombie game to be showed there was also Dead Rising 4.

Forza Horizon 3 was also announced which this year takes place in Australia. The game is set to come out September 27, 2016.


Gears of Wars 4 was a big hit for the fans. The gameplay demo was great I cant wait to try it out.

Microsoft also showcased a new Gears of War theme Microsoft Elite Wireless Controller.

Halo Wars 2 wont be coming out until February 2017 but dont cry just yet Microsoft is going to make it all better by letting gamers start playing the beta now. So if you need your Halo Wars fix play the beta and check out the trailer below.


That was some of the big games Microsoft announced at their press conference today. But they also announced some more big news such as Xbox Play Anywhere which will allow gamers who buys a downloadable game on Xbox One they will be able to play on Windows 10. You will also be able to start a game on your PC or Xbox One and finish on the other. So far there is three games that will be able to use this functionality which are ReCore, Forza Horizon 3, and Halo Wars 2. Microsoft went big this year can Sony top them?
