ATTO is one of the oldest hard drive benchmarks that is still used today. ATTO measures transfers across a specific volume length. It measures raw transfer rates for both reads and writes and places the data into graphs that you can easily interpret. The test was run with the default runs of 0.5kb through 8192kb transfer sizes with the total length being 256mb.

Benchmark Results: The Toshiba HG2 256GB solid-state drive was able to reach 216MBps on the read test and 182MBps on the write test in the I/O Comparison benchmark.

4MB Files Test Comparison Chart – Overlapped I/O: The Toshiba HG2 256GB SSD was at the bottom of the pack when it came to read performance, which is hard to believe with a read speed of 241MB/s. The latest generation of SSDs are all very fast as you can see from the chart above.
