Tidbits for Apple Including Apple Watch 3 and the Next Series of iPhones

A new source offers us a few tidbits for Apple including Apple Watch 3 and the next series of iPhones. There is a good chance the next Apple Watch may feature its very own cellular modem chip to allow more independence from its connected iPhone. The Apple Watch 3 is also speculated to receive LTE service and have compatibility with AirPods. Furthermore, a wireless charge feature may finally be included for the next iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus, and iPhone 8.

The source states, We understand a model of the next Apple watch will include a SIM card, and therefore is likely to support LTE. We understand some issues remain, including battery life and form factor size, but significant progress has been made. Apple may be employing VOIP and data across a CAT-M1 connection for superior battery life. Apple will tout interoperability with the companys AirPods to make and receive phone calls It appears as though Apple has been hard at work to make significant changes and improvements for their upcoming ten year milestone.

In addition the source states, We understand there are three versions: 4.7 iPhone7s, 5.5 iPhone7s Plus and 5.8 OLED iPhone 8 with all three versions offering wireless charging. Pegatron and Foxconn will manufacture the transmit pads. However, there is some skepticism regarding charging efficiency as it may take 3 hours to receive a full charge. Even though wireless charging is nothing new, the source adds the feature will take three hours to fully charge an iPhone.

The USB Type-C is not expected to replace the lightning port in the upcoming model just yet. There has yet to be confirmation Apple is prepared to lay these plans to rest in future developments. The home button may be completely omitted for the future of Apple iPhone designs. As of yet, the USB Type-C has not replaced the Lightning port, but Apple may very well still ponder doing so further down the road. As of now, Apple wishes to make a sort of hybrid by combining a bit of both technologies. The iPhone 8 OLED is expected to be designed to include an L-shaped battery which would allow more flexibility for its internal layout.

The iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus are expected to begin mass production this June. The same source believes the iPhone 8 will begin its production just two months later in August. We are likely to have an official announcement during Apples September presentation.
