The ChillTec Thermoelectric CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts and Conclusions

I came into this review with a bias towards this cooler, and could not fathom how this cooler would ever be able to perform close to the great air coolers of today. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered how much of a performer this cooler turned out to be.

This cooler stayed neck and neck with a watercooling kit, comprised of high end parts. The cooler was expertly designed and manufactured, and is of the best build quality of any cooler I have ever owned.

Installation could be easier, but if your willing to read the directions, installation goes very smoothly. The noise level of the cooler is only noticeable when the computer first starts up. For the first couple minutes the fan will spin up and then down. I believe this is for calibration for the cooler. Once this is done, the fan speeds up as needed.

This cooler fits itself well into the average enthusiast market and for those worried about the potential hassle of watercooling. I would not recommend it for the hardcore overclocker, seeing that market would not be happy with the high price and would be more willing to go to watercooling.

The only aspect that I can see holding this cooler back is its price. At a $149.99 MSRP, I can’t see the informed user going with this cooler when a similar priced water cooling systems could perform better.

The Ultra ChillTec Cooler

Legit Bottom Line: The Ultra ChillTec Thermoelectric CPU Cooler is by far one of the best hybrid air coolers on the market today. If you are looking for an outstanding and high performing cooler without having to go to water, this is the cooler for you!
