Super Nintendo World Trailer Puts You Inside a Video Game

We learned many months ago now that Nintendo has tamed up with Universal Studios and would be bringing the world of Mario into the real world where you can visit. The tie up between the gaming giant and the theme park will see Super Nintendo World attractions built first at Universal Studios Japan.

Later similar theme park attractions will launch at Universal Studios LA and Orlando. We have a really long time to wait before that Japanese attraction opens, that won’t happen until 2020. The opening of attractions in the US will likely come several years after that.

Universal is already trying to get people excited about the new theme park and to that end it has a new trailer showing what the park will be like. There are still many mysteries about what the theme park will look like.

Concept art showed us a real life Princess Peach castle and we can see part of the mushroom kingdom there as well with Bowser’s castle in the background. Some rumors suggest there might be Mario Kart driving in the mix. With Mario as one of the most beloved Nintendo franchises, you can bet the theme park will be big on the plumber. The park is tipped to cost 50 billion yen reports Den of Geek, a huge chunk of cash.
