Sumo Digital Confirms Team Sonic Racing

Developer Sumo Digital has confirmed that it is working with Sega on a game that Mario Kart fans should be excited about. The game is called Team Sonic Racing and it was first tipped by toymakers letting details leak out than then Walmart also leaked details on the game.

Along with the confirmation is word that the game is due to hit the Switch this winter along with an official roundup of features the game will offer. If you saw the leaks, this is the same list that has now been confirmed. The game will offer online multiplayer and local co-op modes.

12 players are supported per online race and 4 players split screen local. Team racing is supported, and you can knock out opponents. The game supports performance and skin customization for vehicles.

There are 14 offensive and defensive wisps to use to get ahead. In total, the game offers 15 playable characters from the Sonic Universe with three-character types. Those types include speed, technique, and power.
