SteelSeries Introduces New RGB Mousepad: the QcK Prism

By

It’s never to late to add another RGB peripheral to a company’s lineup of available gear. With SteelSeries being one of the highly recognized names when shopping for gaming peripherals, we could thank their industry leading standards and innovation. SteelSeries has been around since 2001 and has introduced gaming mousepads under the company name Soft Trading before eventually changing to their current name. Approximately 16 years later, SteelSeries is still at it. This Danish gaming peripherals company has just announced a dual-surfaced RGB illuminated mousepad: the Qck Prism.

It’s not often that gamers think to themselves, “my gaming rig is far too colorful, let me just spray paint everything brown.” Which is why many players still flock to LED illuminated keyboards and other gaming peripherals. I wouldn’t have considered the Blue Snowball iCE microphone if it didn’t have the solid red light indicating it’s connected to my computer. This is what brings some players in and SteelSeries has delivered. The dual-surface of the mousepad refers to one side that’s layered with a micro fiber and aids by increasing friction to deliver more precise movements whereas the other side is made with a polymer for easy gliding. The mousepad wouldn’t be complete if the RGB lighting was just a swirl of colors. Thankfully, the user can control the lighting effects with SteelSeries’ Prism Sync which is also used to control the company’s other Prism peripherals.
