SilverStone ML05 mini-ITX Chassis Now Available For $45 Shipped

Last month SilverStone quietly launched the ML05 mini-ITX chassis as the company’s North American and European office had not received their initial shipment of retail cases. SilverStone USA let us know this week that they have finally received the first retail units from Asia. This is the first HTPC case that SilverStone designed specifically around the Mini-ITX form factor with the goal of making it as small possible without resorting to use of “Thin Mini-ITX” or external adapters. This case is very affordable and has an MSRP of $44.50 in the US and is currently available on Amazon for $44.50 shipped.

Continuing with the popular slim form factor HTPC, the Milo ML05 HTPC case is the smallest in the Milo series to-date and yet still able to fit modern day components. Although measuring only 7 liters in size (half the size of Micro-ATX based ML03), it can accommodate Mini-ITX motherboard, SFX power supply and install up to four 2.5” hard drives. An innovative multipurpose 4-in-1 bracket also allows installation of a slim optical drive, a 3.5” hard drive, two 2.5” drives, or a 120mm fan depending on user’s requirement. Complementing a superbly compact design is a beautiful acrylic front panel that seamlessly integrates into home theater environments, making ML05 the best petite HTPC case on the market.
