Scan Launches DR Who TARDIS Novelty PC Just in Time for Christmas

By

Scan Computers have started exclusively selling the ultimate novelty item for well-off DR Who fans, just in time for Christmas. Officially licenced from the BBC, this is a replica TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space) used in the long running series since it began in 1963. While this 205 x 205 x 430mm aluminium scale model unfortunately must obey the laws of physics and therefore isn’t actually bigger on the inside as it is on the outside, it does compensate handsomely by featuring a small PC built into it. With prices starting at an eye watering £864.35 without an operating system, it can be configured to the user’s preferences and budget.

Core specifications are an Intel Pentium G2120 Dual Core, 3.1GHz CPU, Gigabyte GA-H61N-USB3 motherboard featuring the Intel H61 chipset, 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz memory, 500GB Western Digital HDD, 300W be quiet! BN133 SFX Micro-ATX PSU and Sony Blu-ray Writer. As most people are likely to want an operating system, this bumps up the price to £937.19 for Windows 7 Premium 64-bit, with more expensive OS options being available.
