Samsung said to raise NAND flash contract prices again

By

Samsung Electronics has raised its NAND flash contract prices again and the company had informed its customers that no available stocks for 1Gbit NAND will be supplied for the spot market, according to industry sources.

The latest quotes from Samsung are all set higher than the price levels in the spot market, the sources noted. Silicon Power, a Taiwan-based memory card maker, observed that upstream suppliers propose to adjust their quotes after NAND flash prices bottomed out in late April.
