Samsung Double Full HD 32:9 Display

Samsung understands the value of dual monitors, so they are looking to improve on the matter. Sources say Samsung is planning to build a 32:9 wide display monitor called the Double Full HD (DFHD). The display monitor will be precisely 49-inches wide and will have a resolution of 3840×1080 and will feature a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. The idea is to have the Double Full HD monitor work as a dual setup of 27-inch monitors without the bezels. As seen on the photo below, the monitor features an 1800R curvature. This curve bends more than what is seen on a 21:9 display. The mere length of the DFHD monitor allows the display to have a larger curve without sacrificing quality.

The Samsung DFHD monitor and is great for gamers since it will likely support either G-Sync or FreeSync. The decision pends on what the vendor puts into effect. In addition to the 144Hz refresh rate, the display monitor will feature VA technology. The VA tech will provide a variety contrast rations and great viewing angles.

The source also says Samsung has similar plans for a smaller display monitor with higher resolution at 3840×1200. Samsung is naming it a 29:9 aspect ratio even though its more so a 32:10 or 16:5 display. The 29:9 monitor will be 44-inches diagonal with the same 1800R curvature, 5000:1 contrast ratio, and VA tech. Additionally, the 29:9 display will be available in both 60Hz and 144Hz with G-Sync or FreeSync being just as probable.

These monitors may clear up a lot of desk space if you stick with just this one monitor. Samsung is to start production this September for both the 32:9 and 29:9 DFHD curvature display monitors. Both models may be expected for purchase hopefully late this year, if not 2018.
