QuakeCon 2003

ABIT:

ABIT was at Quakecon 2003 showing their support and dedication to the hardcore gamers and brought along their newest products! They also had marketing specialists from both Taiwain and America on hand to answer even the toughest questions anyone could ask. The first thing we noticed was ABIT’s first small form factor (SFF) computer that was up and running on their table.

Their silver SFF was pretty slick and look pretty good. The front panel and door were plastic. (We hope ABIT is considering making this aluminum) Below you can see that they have space two 5.25″ drive bays, multimedia readers, firewire, USB, and audio ports.

We were also able to find a mock up of their upcoming ABIT IC7 MAX3 motherboard. Since this was just a mock up board we will not into much detail, but the IC7-MAX3 looks like it is coming along nicely.

Shown below is the pre-production Secure IDE. Secure IDEis a device that connects to your IDE hard disk and has a special USB decoder key; without this USB key, your hard disk cannot be opened by anyone. Not too shabby eh?

Let’s look at the rest.
