PUBG Sanhok Map Lands June 22

PUBG is taking a page out of Fortnite’s book and launching a smaller map to give players more action. The new map is called Sanhok and it will include an exclusive weapon called the QSZ95. The map measures 4km x 4km making it about a fourth of the size of Erangel or Miramar.

The smaller island map makes games a bit faster but promises that the battles will still be massive because each game still features 100 players. Tweaks have been made to make the map performance better with faraway players and vehicles not being rendered. The map features dynamic weather and players can throw apples while waiting to board the plane in the lobby.

The Redzone on the map is smaller and lasts longer and the center appears outside of the play zone. That means more players are at risk outside the play zone. The Bluezone has shorter wait times and longer travel times and is dynamic. The number of remaining payers will be checked before the next circle is decided.

Spawn balance rules in the game have been tweaked to help gamers get equipped for battle faster. Certain weapons spawn more often like the AR, SMG, and DMR with total item spawn count increased by 5%. No 8x or 15x scopes spawn on Sanhok but can be gained in care packages.
