PUBG Goes On Sale For $19.99 – New Sanhok Map Comes Out Friday

By

You can purchase PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) right now for $19.99 rather than $29.99 and the sale is running until July 5th, 2018! This is the first time that PUBG has been offered at a sale price on Steam and it is pretty respectable at 33% off. This special price is a thank you from PUBG Corporation since they recently reached the 400 million player milestone across PC, Xbox and mobile platforms. When you combine the Xbox and PC sales figures, PUBG has now sold over 50 million units worldwide. With PUBG mobile included, there are now over 400 million registered PUBG players worldwide (how many of those are banned hackers?). PUBG Corp said that 87 million people play PUBG every day across all three platforms.

The third PUBG map is called ‘Sanhok’ and it officially becomes live on Friday, June 22nd when patch number 15 is rolled out. Its a small-scale area (4km x 4km) map that is similar to Fortnite’s map sizes and should make for quicker games.

Sanhok will be exclusive to the PC version and features a map exclusive gun called the QBZ95 that will replace the SCAR-L.

PUBG also said that they will be unveiling an Event Pass later this week. The goal here is a new form of progression. By completing in-game missions and earning levels, you will be able to unlock rewards. from what we gather it will be a four-week, limited-time add-on you can purchase with real money. Sounds a bit like Fortnite’s Battle Pass…
