ThermalTake Chaser A71, A41 & A31 Chassis
Visiting with ThermalTake at CES is always exciting. They never fail to let us down with what they have coming out, and this year was no exception to the rule. When we first stepped into our meeting with ThermalTake we were greeted with a collection of cases that are impressive to look at. The above cases are all part of the ThermalTake Chaser Series. Starting left to right we have the Chaser A71, Chaser A31, Chaser A41, and the Chaser A41 Snow Edition.
The ThermalTake A71 is full tower that measures an impressive 21.1x8.1x22.2 inches. The side panel features a 200mm intake fan with blue LED's to light up your system. Which is handy considering you can check out the inside of the system through the window on the side panel. In addition to the 200mm fan on the side panel, there is an additional pair of 200mm fans, one on the front for intake, and one on the top for exhaust. The rear of the chassis features a 120mm exhaust fan. The Chaser A71 features three 5.25" drive bays and one 3.5" drive bay. On the inside there is a total of five 3.5" or 2.5" HDD/SSD bays. On the top of the Chaser A71 is a dock that will accept either a 3.5" or 2.5" hard drive or SSD.
The Chaser A71 also features the I/O ports on the top of the chassis. Up there you can find a pair of SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports anda pair of USB 2.0 ports. Coming from ThermalTake there is no surprise that the A71 supports liquid cooling and advanced cable management.
fdThe ThermalTake Chaser A41 comes in both black -
and the Snow Edition. The ThermalTake Chaser A41 considered a mid-tower chassis, though there is no shortage on bells and whistles. Like the Chaser A71 the A41 features a windowed side panel to view all those high end components that you put into the chassis. Unlike the A71 though, there is no ventilation on the side panel of the A41's. There is a 120mm fan at the front of the Chaser as well as at the rear for exhaust, and a 200mm fan on the top to exhaust the hot air out. On the front of the Chaser A41 chassis's we have four 5.25" drive bays and one 3.5" drive bay. The A41 chassis will support both ATX and Micro ATX motherboards.
The Chaser A41 has the I/O ports on the top of the chassis as well, though this time around we have only a pair of SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports.
The ThermalTake Chaser A31, might just be my favorite of the bunch. The Chaser A31 truly reminds me of the Original Armor chassis from ThermalTake, which is still one of my favorite cases to date. Though this one is much smaller as it is a mid-tower. The Chaser A31 features only three external bays. They can be used as 5.25" and one can be converted to a 3.5" bay. On the inside though, there is six hard drive bays that can be used for either a 3.5" hard drive or a 2.5" hard drive or SSD. Like the A41 version of the Chaser we can fit both ATX and micro ATX motherboards.
The top of the Chaser A31 also has a pair of SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, as well as the 3.5mm headphone and microphone jacks. The Chaser A31 like the previous two versions of the Chaser also supports liquid cooling and advanced cable management.
