Playerunknown Battlegrounds First Person Servers Land

By

Playerunknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) has a new update that is out and this update is one that gamers have been waiting for. The update brings with it first-person view servers for what has been a third-person view game since it launched. Some feel like that third-person view is critical to being able to see what is going on around you and keep yourself from getting killed.

To switch from the traditional third-person view to the new first-person view, you need to go to the first-person servers at the bottom of the normal play menu in the “Team” section. Some players are saying that the new view makes the game more difficult because you can hear sounds and don’t necessarily know where that sound is coming from.

I would think those who have been playing first-person shooters for a long time will feel right at home with this game mode. Kotaku says that the new view makes the game more realistic and makes it scarier as well. It’s hard to tell if an enemy is hiding in cramped quarters or if someone is sneaking up on you from behind.

There were some reports of server glitches with the update. The update also brought with it a bunch of new gear in crates. The ability to report players has been added and players can now re-enter games if they are disconnected mid-game. Xbox controllers are now supported as well. PUBG devs also fixed it so if people can’t kill their knocked-out teammates to avoid giving kill count to the opponent who knocked them out, that kill count now automatically goes to the enemy. Lots of other stuff as added or tweaked and the full notes are on the PUBG site here.
